Zynasia jasper MS, NCC, LPC

Founder & CEO

Ms. Zynasia Jasper is a Nationally Certified Licensed Professional Counselor specializing in trauma therapy and dedicated to improving the well-being of individuals and families. In 2018, she founded Breaking Through: A Clinical & Consulting Firm, Inc., a private practice that provides comprehensive counseling services to men, women, children, and families. With a passion for trauma-informed care, Ms. Jasper helps clients heal from painful experiences, particularly focusing on the profound impact trauma has on families and communities.

 

A graduate of The University of North Carolina at Greensboro, Ms. Jasper holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with a minor in Communication Studies. She later earned her Master of Science degree in Human Resources and Community Counseling from North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University in 2011.

 

Ms. Jasper firmly believes that when a woman’s life is transformed, the ripple effect can impact her family and, ultimately, her community, contributing to broader societal healing. Outside of her professional work, Ms. Jasper enjoys spending quality time with her family and close friends, being a “dog mom,” paddleboarding, and engaging with community partners to provide services that benefit women, children, and families. She is deeply committed to using her expertise and platform to give back, ensuring that those in need of mental health services are supported in their journey toward healing and growth.

Tamia Mars

MSW, LCSWA

Ms. Tamia Mars is an Associate Licensed Clinical Social Worker practicing in both North Carolina and Virginia. Tamia’s professional path is shaped by a passion for helping children, women, and families cultivate healthy perceptions of themselves, enhance their relationships, and reclaim a sense of wholeness and safety.

 

Graduating from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 2018 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and minors in Social Work and Dance, Tamia went on to earn her Master of Social Work from Winthrop University in 2024. As a Clinical Outpatient Therapist at Breaking Through: A Clinical & Consulting Firm, Inc., Tamia works with clients facing struggles around worthiness, self-esteem, and healthy boundary setting. She is dedicated to empowering women and men to affirm their identities and build stronger, more resilient selves.

Tamia’s holistic approach is grounded in understanding,
empathy, and a commitment to creating a safe, supportive environment for every client. Outside of treating clients, Tamia enjoys creative pursuits like drawing and painting, staying active through exercise, and cherishing time with her “fur baby,” family, and friends.
